Earn Your CompTIA A+ and IC3 Certifications!
TechHire CompTIA A+ Academies provide foundational digital skills (IC3) for those who need them and include the CompTIA A+ training and certification exams as well as contextualized work readiness for the IT pathway. This model of training, which incorporates foundational digital literacy skills for those who need it and embeds the CompTIA A+ exams into the course, has proven to be the most successful in Maine and nationally.
CompTIA A+ is widely recognized as one of the very first IT certifications that prospective IT professionals should obtain.
It's the industry standard for launching IT careers.
It not only validates your foundational knowledge, but it also shows employers that you are willing to learn and advance your career, and you have the ability to study and pass an exam. Simply having CompTIA A+ on your resume can place you above non-certification holders in line for an interview. When you’re trying to win your first IT job, that’s a big deal!
In order to qualify for this program, you must meet these requirements:
- Maine resident between 17-29 years old (no exceptions)
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Not currently enrolled in secondary school
- Able to meet testing and assessment requirements
- Eligible to work in the US
Courses are available remotely in a virtual face to face model, allowing eligible participants in Maine to join any location that works best for them in terms of start date and day or evening cohorts.
