High School Equivalency (HiSet)

The HiSet™ is a series of five subject tests; Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, and Math. The HiSet has replaced the GED in Maine.

Students are enrolled in HiSet Academy to help them prepare for the exam. Students are expected to attend an in person class at least two hours per week and also complete at least two hours of study online per week. HiSet Academy and the HiSet exam are free for Maine residents. Participants must be at least 17 years old and not enrolled in high school.
